Marisa Tait

Marisa has home schooled her own children for eight years and continues to teach her 11 year old at home.

She teaches maths and English to KS2 level and can assist with SATs.

Marisa has run children’s craft classes in Leigh-on-Sea and has developed an expertise in helping children with additional needs. She holds a Level 2 certificate in Undetstanding Autism.

Marisa believes that every child learns differently and likes to help them reach their potential in a kind and nurturing way. She will assess whether they like to learn visually and physically or prefer paper based work. For example, they may prefer to use real objects and learning tools in maths rather than just look at questions on paper. Marisa will adapt lessons to suit the individual.

Marisa is also a qualified Level 6 (degree level) Holistic Sleep Coach. If you need assistance for a member of your family to get them to have a better night’s sleep, Marisa can look at all aspects of their day to day life and find ways to help create a happier bedtime and good sleeping habits. She looks at everything from diet, allergies, anything that may be making them anxious, relaxation techniques and lots more.
