RWC Music

RWC Education was founded by Rob Cole, who also created RWCmusic in 2013 after recognizing a critical gap in music education. Rob noticed that music lessons were no longer a priority for many schools and asked himself why. Was it because parents couldn’t afford the ever-rising tuition fees? Because schools lacked the budget to purchase instruments? Or perhaps, due to the lack of opportunities, children had forgotten about music? Maybe it was a combination of all these factors.

Determined to address these challenges, Rob built RWCmusic with one clear mission: to make music lessons affordable and accessible, regardless of background. “What if we purchased instruments for the schools so they don’t have to?” he asked. “What if we paid schools a fee that could be used for future instrument purchases or to help subsidize lessons for those in need, giving every child an equal opportunity to learn music?”

This idea became the foundation of RWCmusic, driven by the belief that music should be a part of every child’s life. As Beyoncé once said, “I cannot imagine my life if I didn’t have a music program in my school.”

Our Mission

At RWCmusic, we firmly believe that all children should have the opportunity to learn music in schools. Music lessons shouldn’t be viewed as a luxury or an unnecessary expense for parents or schools. Instead, they should be seen as an attainable hobby that every child, regardless of their background or circumstances, can enjoy. Our goal is simple: to give as many children as possible the opportunity to learn a musical instrument.

Information for Parents

RWCmusic is passionate about providing every child with equal opportunities to learn music in school. To ensure this, we:

Purchase instruments for schools so children without their own can participate.
Pay schools a fee to subsidize lessons for those who may need financial support.
Offer both private one-to-one lessons and more affordable group lessons.

We currently offer lessons in guitar, ukulele, piano, keyboard, drums, violin, recorder, and singing, with plans to expand to a wider range of instruments in the future.

What Will Your Child Learn?

Every child is unique, and this is especially true when it comes to music. Different tastes and interests make music an exciting journey with countless paths to explore.

Your child will start by learning the basics of their chosen instrument, laying the foundation for their own musical journey. Our teachers focus on teaching songs that children want to learn—fun, relatable pieces that keep them engaged and excited.

Students will also develop essential skills and techniques, learn to read sheet music, and practice their favorite songs. If your child wishes to take formal music grades, we are more than happy to support that too—just let us know!

Safeguarding

All tutors undergo rigorous pre-employment checks, hold enhanced DBS certifications, and regularly update their safeguarding training. Additionally, all teachers are covered under RWCmusic’s public liability insurance.
